How is "a single domain name" defined?
Under cm3 licensing terms, "a single domain name" is defined as the fully qualified base URL of the website or application you are managing. Sub domains are not allowed under a domain name licence. However you may use whatever URL extensions you wish, even if you are running separate websites.
Some examples:
-
www.yourcompany.com and intranet.yourcompany.com are defined as separate domain names. You would need to purchase separate domain name licences to operate cm3 on both domains.
-
www.yourcompany.com and shop.yourcompany.com are defined as separate domain names. You would need to purchase separate domain name licences to operate cm3 on both domains, even if you consider your shop to be the same website.
-
www.something.com/website/ and www.something.com/anothersite/ and www.something.com/shop/ are considered to be one domain name. You may use a single domain name licence of cm3 to operate all these URLs, even if they are separate websites.
