How does licensing for the Baking & Mirroring Module work?
Licensing for the Baking & Mirroring Module is based upon the number of destination domain names

) you need to support.
Licences for the Baking & Mirroring Module are not necessarily tied to the cm3 domain name licence that you purchased. This is so that you can run your website administrative system on a different domain name to your (static

) website if you wish. This is perfect for organisations who wish to purchase cm3 for an intranet but also wish to publish a static website outside their firewall.
Currently the system is sold for either 1 domain name, 5 domain names, or an unlimited number of domain names.
Further Notes
- The licence refers to the final destination of your output files. If your intention is to publish the static files to one domain name them move them to another for live access from both domains, you may need to purchase two domain name licences. However the licence allows your cm3 domain name to act as a staging server for files that may move to other domain names. Please contact us if you have any questions.
- The baking system outputs flat (or "static") HTML files. These files can be published to any web server, but other (non-static) parts of your website will not have access to the full dynamic functionality of cm3 (including forms, authentication, etc.) unless cm3 is also installed on that server.
