What's included in the online demonstration?
It's more than a pretty multimedia presentation... The cm3 demonstration websites are full, live examples of the content management system in action. We let you get stuck into the management of a real website.
- Completely dynamic website, built by a non-programmer and manageable by anyone with Internet access
- The Sample Company website, which is also supplied with the cm3 deliver package as a starting point for developers to create other sites
- Search and forms examples
- The default administrative system with all the off-the-shelf modules including publishing, permissions management, email newsletter management, export, system management, WYWISYG editing, and so on
- Dynamic pull-out menus, trail navigation, and other navigation examples
- Popular page template functions including printer friendly pages and email a friend
- Complex website built with just 3 core templates in total
Of course there is a lot more to the cm3 demo than what we've outlined here. We'd like to let you loose in the back end of the online demonstration site so that you can get a good idea of the way cm3 works.
What's not included in the online demonstration?
It's impossible to include every function and feature of cm3 in a generic demonstration site. In fact, it's hard to demonstrate even the majority of features! In particular, the things that are difficult to see in the our generic demo sites are:
- The power of the cm3 application development platform and macro language
- The flexibility of cm3's workflow and publishing systems
- The extensibility and customisation options available
- Examples of applications and advanced templates built using cm3 - e.g. tools available in the intranet module such as time sheets, contact management, help desk, inline publishing, and calendars
- A very wide range of cm3's additional modules including forums, shopping cart, file mirroring, static page publishing (baking), LDAP / Active Directory authentication, form handling, import / export, polls, surveys, calendaring, advanced personalisation, and much, much more...
