Version 4.1 of cm3 released, all advanced modules now included
Along with a complete overhaul of the CMS interface, version 4.1 of cm3 now includes all advanced Internet modules within the core licence fee. A wide array of major new features makes cm3 a "must have" upgrade for existing customers, and keeps cm3 in place as a market leader for its price to feature ratio.
This major upgrade to the already feature rich content management platform introduces far too many new and enhanced tools to list in detail. Some notable inclusions are listed below.
- Enhanced dynamic notifications, notes, and distributed workflow system for multi-user publishing teams
- Tabs-based, pre-loading interface optimised for usability and speed
- New scheduling and event management features
- Upgraded internal and external file and metadata search tools
- ASP.Net web site starting points
- A wide array of powerful new developer tools including content conversion and transport systems, global find & replace, and a huge list of updates to the cm3 macro language (template API)
- Support for new databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Enhanced cross platform support, including Macintosh systems
Perhaps the most valuable update for some customers, the following Internet modules (previously sold separately) are now included*1 in the core cm3 licence:
- Forums / discussion boards

- Polls
- Surveys / forms manager
- RSS / XML content feeds

*1 Modules are not supplied with the core CMS licence package. Modules are supplied "as is" either by request to us or as downloadable packages on the cm3 support extranet for registered customers. You may require assistance from us or another qualified cm3 web developer to deploy (install, customise, and configure) these modules. Basic assistance is provided at no additional cost via the cm3 extranet and/or email for customers with a Level 2 or Custom Software Maintenance Subscription. Extended support is available via paid commercial arrangement. At the time of this announcement not all modules have been upgraded for version 4 compatibility. Please ask for further information.
