Version 3.7 released - Macintosh and Mozilla WYSIWYG support announced
Among a plethora of other new features, version 3.7 of cm3 offers full What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get content editing support for Mozilla browsers and Macintosh computers.
A key element of our approach to development is to listen to our customers and analyse each new project to identify potential product improvements. This release of cm3 included new advanced web development features, a focus on performance improvement, and a series of new application modules.
Please note that the feature list below is not a full list of the latest additions and enhancements to cm3, we've only listed some of our favourite new features below:
New Features
- Brand new demonstration "white site" to use as a starting point for other sites
- Full WYSIWYG editing in Mozilla web browsers, which are also available on the Macintosh platform
- Module: Native cache management tools, no third party components required
- Module: Advanced index and full text search with relevancy matching, metadata refinement system, sensitive to user permissions, and more
- Module: Group based forums / discussion lists
- Module: Polls - single and multiple answers, graphical reporting, scheduled launch, and more
- Module: Ad manager / content rotation manager - provides click through reports, content weighting options, scheduled displays, and more
- Module: Form builder / survey manager - provides advanced form construction with no coding, graphical reports, email responses, and more
- Module: E-commerce catalogue, shopping cart, and order management system, too many features to list here
- Mailout manager overhaul including new logging features, external list management, new personalisation features, background process management, and more
- Heaps of interface and performance improvements, as always - especially for developers
- New migration and import/export tools for content and templates
- The cm3 developer extranet has been launched, providing a growing knowledge base of tutorials, manuals, technical information, and guides
