Australian families benefit from cm3 (web sites by Australian Scholarships Group)

Read about ASG's implementation of an organisation wide installation of cm3, beginning with two large member-based websites.

Through a series of web developments, content delivery strategies, and technology installations (all supported by cm3) Australian Scholarships Group are using the Internet to support families across Australia.

Content is critical for ASG and central to their business. It is through the development and delivery of uniquely valuable information that the goals of the organisation are met.

The Websites

A series of ASG websites (starting with www.kidslife.com.au and www.parentbriefings.com.au - both sites with New Zealand mirrors) will provide subscribers with key education and parenting advice that is especially designed to increase the chances of children entering tertiary education.

Among other things, the websites make use of the following cm3 features:

Live website subscriptions
Scheduled content delivery - newsletters, daily updates, nightly email, and automated publishing / unpublishing
Detailed surveys
Personalised content delivery (including birthday wishes, and quarterly parenting newsletters throughout a child's life)
Community based communication applications - e.g. forums, polls, "Ask an Expert", competitions, sponsored content, and much more
Content rotation and weighting manager (a specialised implementation of cm3's ad management system)

Organisation Wide Support and Training

The value of cm3 is being leveraged throughout Australian Scholarships group in public websites, customer-serving extranets, and the ASG intranet. ASG's staff have been trained to operate independently of external contractors for the development and management of future CMS projects. Training consisted of the following elements:

Author / editor / administrator training
Developer training
CMS development and design process training

The first of ASG's internally developed websites (based on the advanced demonstration site provided with cm3) will be launched soon.
