Is cm3 an ASP.net product? Does cm3 support ASP.net? When will cm3 become fully ASP.net?cm3 is not an ASP.net product. It is written primarily in COM+ and ASP. However cm3 is fully compatible with ASP.net. In fact we would go further and say that it provides quite detailed ASP.net support. Since the core business components of cm3 reside in Microsoft COM+ components, the cm3 macro language is fully exposed to ASP.net. Therefore ASP.net is a very viable presentation layer for cm3 and it is a simple matter to integrate your ASP.net website or application with cm3. We do not expect to port cm3 to become a fully native ASP.net application in the near future (e.g. within one year). The main reason is that it works perfectly well the way it is, there would not be many advantages in porting the product unless a particular customer requires it. Furthermore there are still many customers who are not ready to migrate their hosting platform to ASP.net. We have begun creating some cm3 tools that take advantage of newer technology components in ASP.net. We expect to add to this base of ASP.net tols steadily over time.
